So glad this place exists. This is was such a incredible experience. Such exquisite teachers and I’ve had many! I don’t live in Manitowoc anymore, but live in Boulder, CO where there are many yoga studios to choose from. In all my experience of yoga classes and teachers, Waves is up there with my favorite experiences! Support this studio, you will not be disappointed!
Ariane Gunderson Owner
Hi! My name is Ariane, and some of my favorite places in the whole world are yoga studios. So I wrote down everything that I loved about those studios and infused them together to bring Waves to fruition in November 2018. I lead students through vinyasa flow classes that are ever-changing, powerful and creative. I love to blend great music, clear instruction, and alignment based sequencing in a way that allows beginners to advanced students to enjoy a beautifully balanced practice.
Cathy Hendricks Yoga Teacher
I live for the moment. The moment a new student walks into the studio, the “ah-ha” moment of a student’s practice, the moment of peace a restorative class delivers, and the moment prenatal students smile after savasana.
At one point in my life, I was a high functioning type A personality, and I struggle to describe exactly the gift that yoga has given me. But it is from this very point that I lead my classes with compassion, understanding and a deep-seated awareness of where each student shows up on their mat. I am certified in Power Vinyasa, Restorative and Prenatal yoga modalities.

Brittany Schultz Yoga Teacher & Acupuncturist
I have more than 14 years of practicing yoga in various forms and in many states across the country. I am an acupuncturist, certified yoga instructor, custom makeup consultant, and microblade artist. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Yoga On The Lake in Kohler, Wisconsin. I have a passion for bringing a unique experience with yoga to my home-town community. I have personally experienced pain relief from my scoliosis through yoga, gained confidence in my own body, and have become a living example of what yoga can do for a person. My desire to share these experiences shines through in my teachings!
Erin Nycz Yoga Teacher
I have taught yoga for more than a decade; starting my training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and continuing with YogaFit Worldwide. My classes focus on core strength and balance, and are rooted in mindful connection to breath. I believe that yoga can change your life, and I'm honored to guide you on your journey to mental and physical wellness.
I hold a BA in English and Theatre from the University of Wisconsin and after a career traveling the country as an actress and model, I currently spend my time with my husband and two little girls.
Jennifer Jelenic Yoga Teacher
I am a long-time student and certified yoga teacher (CYT500) of Hatha yoga. Whether in the studio or nature based, my classes are light hearted and playful, yet deeply rooted in the ancient philosophy of yoga.
My focus is to provide a safe, nurturing space to explore yoga on many levels; helping you to cultivate a rich mind-body-spirit connection while ‘on the mat’ for use in everyday life ‘off the mat’. A consistent yoga practice can be transformative and life enhancing. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!
Danielle Warden Yoga Teacher
Yoga is an ancient art that has been practiced for thousands of years. The word yoga literally means to yoke or bind. While many associate yoga with a physical practice-it moves much deeper than the physical realm. For me, yoga reminds me to live. Bringing harmony and peace to my mind, body and soul. A place of transcendence.
My mat is my place to observe thoughts and old beliefs, bringing full awareness to spirit. A place where I align with the vibrations of the universal heartbeat. My practice doesn’t end on the yoga mat. It’s a life practice, a daily practice, a way of being. A lifetime journey.
