So glad this place exists. This is was such a incredible experience. Such exquisite teachers and I’ve had many! I don’t live in Manitowoc anymore, but live in Boulder, CO where there are so many yoga studios to choose from. Ariane Gunderson Owner
Ariane Gunderson, CYT & E-RYT, opened Waves Yoga Studio in November 2018. She grew up in Watertown, WI and moved to Two Rivers in 2018. She began her teaching career by getting certified through B&B Yoga School. Her love of yoga led her to take various yoga trainings; including studies in Hatha, Vinyasa, Pranaflow, Baptiste Yoga, and Ashtanga. Ariane leads students in vinyasa flow classes that are ever-changing, powerful and creative. Ariane blends great music, clear instruction, and alignment based sequencing in a way that allows beginners to advanced students to enjoy a beautifully balanced practice.
Brittany Schultz Yoga Teacher & Acupuncturist
Brittany Schultz L.Ac. and RYT has 14 years of practicing yoga in various forms and in many states across the country. She is an acupuncturist, certified yoga instructor, custom makeup consultant and microblade artist. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Yoga On The Lake in Kohler, Wisconsin. Brittany has a passion for bringing a unique experience with yoga to her home-town community. She has personally experienced pain relief from her scoliosis through yoga, gained confidence in her own body, and has become a living example of what yoga can do for a person. Her desire to share these experiences shines through in her teachings!
Erin Nycz Yoga Teacher
Erin has taught yoga for more than a decade, starting her training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and continuing with YogaFit Worldwide. Erin’s classes focus on core strength and balance, and are rooted in mindful connection to breath. Erin believes that yoga can change your life, and she’s honored to guide you on your journey to mental and physical wellness.
Erin holds a BA in English and theatre from the University of Wisconsin and after a career traveling the country as an actress and model, currently spends her her time with her husband and two little girls.
Jennifer Jelenic Yoga Teacher
Jennifer Jelenic is a long-time student and certified yoga teacher (CYT500) of Hatha yoga. Whether in the studio or nature based, her classes are light hearted and playful, yet deeply rooted in the ancient philosophy of yoga.
Her focus is to provide a safe, nurturing space to explore yoga on many levels; helping you to cultivate a rich mind-body-spirit connection while ‘on the mat’ for use in everyday life ‘off the mat’. A consistent yoga practice can be transformative and life enhancing. She looks forward to sharing this journey with you!
Maren Slickman Yoga Teacher
Maren has been a health and wellness enthusiast for over 25 years. She has led group fitness classes in the lakeshore area and recently obtained her personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise with an emphasis in Mind-Body. Most recently, Maren has discovered a love and passion for studying, practicing, and teaching Mindfulness.
She has taken courses through Mindful Schools, a teaching program out of California. In her role as Program Support Teacher and Coach for the Two Rivers School District, she leads Yoga-Mindfulness classes for both students and staff.
Keelie Schroeder Prenatal Yoga Teacher
Keelie Schroeder has practiced yoga since 2015. Her practice has helped her grow physically stronger and improved her mindfulness. Keelie practiced yoga through her pregnancies and is a qualified prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher. She has a passion for helping pre and postnatal moms build a yoga practice that is tailored to their needs. Yoga can help women enjoy a wholesome and joyful pregnancy that will benefit both mom and baby. Simple postures helped Keelie along with many other women prepare mentally and physically for the task of labor. Her intention is to lead all her students through poses that promote a sense of empowerment while also centering the mind and body.
