What Should I Expect at My First Class at Waves Yoga Studio?

Waves Yoga Studio, Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Walking into your first yoga class can feel a little intimidating, but we do everything we can to make sure it doesn't feel that way.

If you're joining us at Waves Yoga Studio, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early. Around our block we have around 80 free parking spots, as well as a free city parking lot across the street next to The Elbow Room.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. You'll practice barefoot, and if you don't have a yoga mat, don't worry - we have plenty of mats available at the front desk.

You’ll walk in, kick off your shoes, and find your name on the iPad and check yourself in. A front desk friend will give you a little tour and show you where the bathrooms are. We’ll make sure you have a good spot for class, and answer any questions you may have.

During class, your teacher will guide you through each movement and offer options along the way. If you ever need a break, you can take one. If a pose doesn't feel right, we'll help you find another option.

Most first-time students leave saying the same thing:

"I was way more nervous than I needed to be."

If you're looking for a welcoming first yoga class in Manitowoc, we'd love to help you get started.
