ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS WE GET THE MOST

WHAT ARE YOUR COVID PRECAUTIONS?


  • We are currently limiting class sizes to 15 students per class.
  • Masks are not required.
  • Please stay on your mat once you're set up.
  • Please avoid the studio if you're not feeling well/family member is ill.
  • We are live-streaming all our classes on Zoom, so you can practice in the comfort of your home.
  • Can't make our scheduled class times? Sign up for our virtual classes and receive the playback to play for 48 hours!




HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR STUDIO CLASSES?


  • Head to our schedule on our website or the MindBody app and register for a class.
  • Wear comfortable athletic clothes that are breathable.
  • Pick up a yoga mat at our boutique or your local department store.
  • Arrive to class at least 10 minutes before class to get set up and talk to the instructor if needed.




HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR ZOOM CLASSES?


  • Head to our schedule on our website or the MindBody app and register for our 'VIRTUAL' classes.
  • We'll send a zoom invitation and password 30 minutes before class to your email.
  • We'll include what yoga props you might need for class in that email, along with the Spotify playlist we're playing at the studio.




WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?


Our studio is located inside Tapped on the Lakeshore on Memorial Drive in Two Rivers. If you are coming northbound, you will need to make a U-TURN right after you pass Tapped. If you are coming southbound, take a right into Tapped's parking lot. We have a separate entrance on the south side of the building. We are conveniently located halfway between Manitowoc and Two Rivers. You can run, walk, or ride your bike right to our studio via the Mariners Trail that runs along the Lake Michigan waterfront.




WHERE DO I PARK?


We offer free parking in our parking lot.




I'M NOT FLEXIBLE. CAN I STILL DO YOGA?


Absolutely! If you are feeling intimidated (which is totally normal!) consider starting with our Begin, Ground or Slow Flow classes. All of our knowledgeable teachers will help you find the pose that’s right for your body. With consistent practice, your flexibility will improve tremendously!




​I’M BRAND NEW TO YOGA, WHERE DO I START?


It’s best to start in our Begin, Ground or Slow Flow classes. We recommend setting your mat up in the middle of the room so you can look around at the other students in class and follow their lead. We have everything you need (mats, blocks, blankets) to practice at the studio, and we even offer a special rates to new students: $45 for 21 days of unlimited yoga. This way, you can take all of the classes you like and experience different teachers and styles. Once you start to learn the names of the postures, the experience becomes much more natural.




ARE ALL THE CLASSES HEATED?


Yes! We love heating our studio to a toasty-warm 90 degrees year round.




WHY YOGA?


We believe yoga is for everyone. The word "yoga" means union. It is a state of being in the present, focusing on the here and now. It's a path to self discovery, fine-tuned awareness, and unification of the mind, body and soul. Yes, it is a series of postures that makes you sweat and burn calories, but more than that, it is a way to escape the restrictions of the mind and the limitations we put on ourselves. Studies have shown that a regular practice can not only improve the body’s strength, flexibility, and balance, but can actually reduce blood pressure, improve sleep quality, and decrease stress levels.




WHAT ARE MEMBERSHIPS?


Our membership is our unlimited yoga package. Membership is our way of making yoga available to all. It's our most affordable payment option; we even give a discount to students, educators, civil servants, veterans, and year long commitments! Email us to inquire about discounts.




CAN I SHARE CLASS PACKS?


While we want you to share yoga with your loved ones, class packs are non-transferable. However, we do offer a family membership option: $89/month and $30 for each additional family member. Email us to inquire about our family membership.




WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?


All cancellations must be completed 8 hours prior to class time. This is so that we’re able to contact those on the waitlist with ample time for them to attend. All cancellations and no-shows (regardless of cause) received less than 8 hours prior to the scheduled time will be charged $10. We appreciate your cooperation to improve our quality of services at Waves!




WHEN DOES MY PACKAGE EXPIRE?


Class packs expire one year after purchase date. Class packs purchased during a sale expire six months after purchase date. Drop-ins expire one month after purchase date. No rollovers, refunds or extensions.




WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?


All sales for classes, memberships, workshops, retreats, and events are final – no refunds or exchanges.




WHAT HAPPENS IF I SIGN UP FOR THE WAITLIST?


There are 3 spots on the waitlist for our yoga classes. Adding your name to the waitlist provides you a great opportunity to get into class! There is an auto email that sends out if you make it into class. We may also text you to confirm your spot. If you want to stop by to see if there is a last-minute spot, you are welcome to do so.




CAN MY KIDS PRACTICE WITH ME?


Waves is happy to welcome teens over the age of 14.
